WRITER TO WRITER: Louise Walters and Joanna Czechowska

Joanna Czechowska and Louise Walters both write about the Polish experience during World War Two, and beyond. Joanna’s novels, The Black Madonna of Derby and Sweetest Enemy tell, respectively, the story of the Polish community which grew in England after WW2 and the rise of Solidarity, whilst Louise’s novel, Mrs Sinclair’s Suitcase, unravels the story between a Polish Squadron Leader and the Englishwoman he fell in love with. For this month’s Writer to Writer chat, they met up to talk about Polish characters, sequels, and the amazing Debi Alper.

You can follow their discussion here.
