The Prime Writers’ Daily Writing Resolutions: each day in January we are featuring a real writing goal that one of the Prime Writers is working on this year.
Today’s resolution is from Graeme Shimmin, author of A Kill in the Morning:
My writing resolution for 2016 is to spend more time in the library.
My favourite is the John Rylands Library in Manchester. I find this beautiful space very conducive to writing – it’s quiet, cool, inspiring and has few distractions. It’s also only a few minutes walk from my flat.
I find it helps me to stop procrastinating. Once I’m there I can settle down and concentrate on the one thing I’m there to do: my writing.
